ANISH KAPOOR (b. 1954)
Kapoor’s monumental sculptures evoke cosmic mystery, illusion, and the sublime. Known for his pigment-drenched forms and mirrored voids, he explores perception and emptiness through scale and material. His iconic Cloud Gate ("The Bean") in Chicago and Descension series are landmarks of public art. His work is in Tate Modern, Guggenheim, and Lisson Gallery.

"One must not believe in what one sees. One must believe in what one does not see."
